My dad was working in Spain and got me this really cool Miguel Nieto knife. I had never heard of the knifemaker but after a quick search found some other Nietos posted on the forums here.
It has a lot of nice details like the filework on the back spring. The filework continues on to the spine of the blade but it's much more subtle on the spine. The only disappointment is the walk and talk (I hope I'm using this term correctly), and that the oversized pivot pin has a bunch of small scratches on it.

Well I mainly wanted to share, if you have any questions about it let me know.

Just a lovely piece of art! It may just need the joint flushed out and a little oil to help with the walk and talk. Lets us know how it shapes up.

This is true. Load that joint up with oil and work the blade back and forth for a couple of minutes. It's not uncommon for a new slipjoint to come with the joint all crudded up from the manufacturing process.

Very, very nice knife. What's the closed length?

Thanks I'll try oiling it.

I wish I could get a better picture of the spine.

Great size, and very nice file work. The more pictures you take the better this thing looks.

Make sure to let us know if the walk and talk improve after you clean the joint a little.
