This is a new one for me,the second Alsadorf I've handled. The fit and finish is OUTSTANDING,real nice snap, with half stops,a nice deep hollow ground 440C blade. The first one I bought for a friend,I knew the little pearl interframe Dr was right up his alley,it was stunning, but I never paid much attention to the blade grind, but when I got this one the other day(yesterday I think,my head is in the clouds over 2 recent knives, this being one),I noticed right away, the grind was awesome.Definitely a maker to watch and look for his knives coming out.Nice jig bone on this slim 3-1/8" gents type slipjoint

Vince:thumbup:
looks nice & handy to slip into your pocket.
Cheers

Those slightly pinched bolsters are a neat touch. I love the one I carry:thumbup: I've been carrying and using mine for over 3 months and use it everyday, and not just for paper:D It is still razor sharp. Originally I was a little uncertain about Mike's choice of 440-C, not anymore:foot:

I have had a few custom knives with 440C.If it is done right,it is right.

This one has Amber Stag...yes Stag;) It has a nice little swedge on the pen blade too:thumbup:

The closed length is 3 1/8" the main blade is 2 1/4" from the bolster and the pen blade is a tad under 2".

Another gorgeous little slip Durwood.

Vince,

Looks like a pretty good place to be! Carrying any of them?

Mike,The pearl was carried by my buddy,I got that one for him, then I got the same knife, with the clip point, like on the 2 blader there, and he wanted that one,I liked the swedged spear better, myself,we swapped...so,that one was carried, and we did have a mini cutting competition with it,against a Halfrich trapper, witch won of course,we used watermelon rinds as the subject to cut, this past 4th of July. But it is still an awesome razor sharp little knife.
The Jack has been carried, cut some veal & pizza with it...
The Doc,just came in 2 day...
That's the story....I love these little 3-1/8" knives,I'll say it again, everyone here should get one...

I got this one in the sale forums from Flava in Paris who I believe got it from Durwood. Which means this one has made two trips across the Atlantic.:D

Vince,

I have the near twin of your single blade, but in jigged blue bone with threaded bolsters and pins. Amazing fit and finish.

Best,
JB

Beautiful knives you guys. I've been watching Mr. Alsdorf's work in the last year. It sure looks well designed and precise. I'd like to see him do a 3.75" to 4.25" trapper or jack. Everything I've seen so far has been of the size range shown here, which is also very nice.

440C is a terrific steel, imho, if treated properly.
