Mike you were the one that posted that one knife per person rule, I am surprised at ewok not reading that post since he is so good at trivia. What does it matter weather you post any rules at all when you don't stand by them any way.

I believe Mike un-did that rule way back yonder upon querie by Ewok. Either way, I didn't know many of the answers anyway, and I was only online during one of the contests, so more power to the winners!!!

Yes! Drop the burrito...

Eagle,
Mike didn't say you were not allowed to win more than once,
just that it would be ungentlemanly.

The problem I had was someone would of had to read the very post and there is/was no way to enforce it. So I let anyone who wanted to play do it as many times as they wanted.

My call...

Ewok,
More fine qualities... "Rolling Over" on your friends.

It's unenforceable ?
How about keeping a list of the winners.
When the same name comes up again, pick the next correct entry.
End of story!

After the 2nd one I haven't even looked at them. I never really had a chance...I'd sign on and see 30-40 people have posted.

I've been burned twice now in knife contests, I won't go into details because it's water under the bridge, and it's not worth the aggravation. I just wish once the rules are made, that they didn't change with the situation.

Here is a thought. Could Mike and Ewok be the same person?
Oh boy I really stepped in it now.

For a single contest where multiple knives are awarded I would like to see something like Doc is suggesting.

I believe the gentlemanly thing to do would be for the winner to select one of the knives and let the rest go to others who were second. If one of the seconds was a multiple winner, then go to third, etc...

Doesn't seem too difficult and works after contest is over. Since I didn't win any, I can't backup my words by action in this case. This is what I would prefer to see (and would abide by if I were a multiple winner). Like everyone keeps saying, opinions are like ....... and everyone has one.

Regardless of my opinion, this is Mike's place and he makes the rules. Whatever he says goes and is final. I can live with that.

Besides, did any of you ever know of a family that didn't have some internal squabbling. The BladeForums family has over 3600 members. The number of squabbles are amazingly small!

Also, I think thanks are again due to Mike and Spark for a great forum where the Administrators and Moderators actually listen to the participants! Roll on BladeForums!

Well, I guess if Ewok gets the answer first he wins. If Mike says he can win more than once, then so be it. I do think that one thing should be pointed out. Ewok was the winner of one contest, I forgot which one. He told Mike that he did not deserve to win it because another poster had what Ewok felt was a better answer. He directed Mike to pronounce the other guy the winner. Just another point of view. Ewok should be commended for that.

P.S. I didnt win any of them, but it sure was fun trying

I would love to win a knife but am unable(usually) to even be online when the ??s are asked, or come on to late.
I am just happy that there is even a contest available, for free even.
Thanks for that Mike, and congrats to you Ewok, whether you win once or 20 times congrats all the same.

This thread would have been better as an email to Mike IMO. Nobody said that Mike had to give away knives in the first place. Let's keep it fun and learn from the mistakes of "the old days".
