Great images, Caleb. Super nice stuff, Mike...going for MS?

My gosh, that man can make a knife!!

The wrought guard on that dagger is extraordinary, as is the entire piece.
Wonderful shots Caleb.

Dang, Mike! I repeat the question, going for your Master Smith stamp this year? Or just decide to make an awesome dagger for awesomness' sake?

See you next week, buddy!

Mike, those are both fantastic looking knives. Can't wait to see them in person at Blade.

I had seriously considered going for my MS this year but moving my family and shop from Managua to the U.S. has been much more difficult than expected. We definitely didn't need the added stress of an MS test at this time. I was very happy to get a dagger comissioned so I could use it as a practice piece for the future.
Looking forward to seeing you guys at Blade in a couple weeks!

Such a treat to see these Beauties this morning Mike.
Thats a special piece of cocabolo and fluted so perfectly. The wrought iron is the best I've seen as most doesn't have that much activity. Great finishes on both knives. Also that sheath with the buckles is a cool touch.

Awesome pics of two fantastic knives. Great work guys!

very nice knives Mike both look great and Caleb did his part really catching the life in them

I really need to give a couple shout outs here. In many ways I'm very much a newbie and trying my best to learn and explore while at the same time making a good product.
David Lisch is responsible for teaching me a lot about damascus making. He opened his shop to me and gave his time and experience to me. He's an excellent artist and a great promoter of the craft to the next generation. I could not have made this dagger without him. David also gave me a lot of advice about etching the wrought iron. Thanks Dave!

I wanted to do something cool for my Deibert Knives FB page and when I told Caleb he came up with the coolest layout that really brings my FB page to life. His work has inspired me to keep coming up with better knives that are worthy of his photographic skills! Thanks Caleb.

Hopefully anyone reading this will come by 10-Q at Blade so I can say Hi and meet some new friends.
Thanks for the kind words!
Mike

Mike....great work and it's great to hear your moving back to the states you did a great things down there for those less fortunate. Now I'm waiting with anticipation to get a Bowie to go with the hawk you made me. Between you and James I'm gonna just go nuts thank god the woman took my credit card...lol. Well welcome back and if I can make it to blade I'll stop by and say hello.
Best wishes

I would say that dagger is a VERY good trial piece.....and you are right about Dave being a great guy and a great teacher

Beautiful work - keep it up!

Looking forward to your next knives as you get completely settled in here in the US :D

staggering quality .. if that is what you call newbie stuff then I can only imagine your work in a couple of years.

Mike fantastic pieces. The dagger with that killer damascus is mesmerizing . I look forward to seeing you in Atlanta.

Caleb, great eye at catching all the detail in the photographs.
