Ah, sorry about the long title to this thread, but that just about says it all. Hill Knives in Rotterdam, Holland makes a superb knife for military applications - actually they have 3 models - one of which is made for and used by the Dutch military. These knives have ATS-34 blades.

It would be interesting to see how well this knife performs against a Busse or Mad Dog.

Hill have a website in english with some rather dark photos under: http://www.hillknives.demon.nl/center.htm

I've seen their knives and the quality is outstanding.

I am very interested in their performance. I like the look of the Special Operations model. I am, however, lacking in my "metric" use.
How long/wide/thick is the blade?
How much does it weigh?
and
the most important,
How much does it cost?
Thanks

Hello Crowinghorse,
I have the satin finished non-Ti coated Hill Knives KCT001 or 002 and it's a beast of a knife. First of all the price would probably vary between $275-$325 depending on the blade finish ,if you want a piggyback cordura sheath for a diamond sharpener (flat 1" by 4" steel plate) and the sharpener itself kit'll cost you about $30.
The exact weight/blade length etc are not exactly in my head right no but the blade is about 7.5" and the blade is 5mm thick this is about 3/16", The overall length will be about 12.5". I think it weighs about 15 ounces (the knife alone) The sheath is a molded plastic thingie that looks like one can drive a tank over it and the blade is secured by a mechanism like a Samurai sword has + an additional strap around the handle. The blade is more set up to be a chopper, all purpose knife, then a killing knife.
I'll try to make some pictures of my knife tomorrow and post them.
Keep sharp, Bagheera
