Just wanted to add my own "Mike story"...
I took delivery of a Spydie Massad Ayoob from SMKW this past Saturday. The box was a little worse for wear, and there were a couple of minor dings in the handle finish, but given the price point, the knife seemed perfectly acceptable. But I kept staring at the knife, trying to figure out what was wrong with it, when it finally dawned on me--the blasted thing had been shipped without a clip!
I called SMKW customer service, and the lady was very pleasant and told me to return it for an exchange. But given other people's grief with SMKW once they fell "out of the loop," I decided to give Mike a call.
I had no sooner related my experience to him when he said he'd ship me the clip and screws immediately. Two days after that call, I have the clip, screws, and a "complete" Ayoob.
Now THAT'S customer service to hang your hat on! He not only backed up his company's product, but cleaned up someone else's mess in the process!
And here I thought the only reason to buy Spydies is that they're great knives... Can you say, "Life-long Spydie Fan"?

P.S. The Ayoob is a VERY nice knife--I think it may wind up being my EDC, "where allowable."
