Anyone have a Irie folder? I have one and it is very well made, hand ground blade, ti liners, aluminum bolsters, micarta scales. Thoughts if you have or have had one?:thumbup:

I have one small folder, the same type as you described and I like it very much for it's nice finish. It's a real gentlemen's knife made from modern materials.

I bought one from Mike at the PKA show in Denver several years back. It was blued damascus with MOP scales. Had to sell all my knives a few years back due to losing my job and that is one I really wish I could get back.

I got several folders from Mike and I met him at Blade last year, where we spent some good time talking about knives. He is a great person and his knives and folders are extremely well made and finished.

This is one he made based on Barry Wood's swing-out design:

This is a Ti liner lock proto. he made with Barry Wood in the 90's.

and this is a particular folder Mike made in 2003 with two sets of handles: one in micarta and one in carbon fiber:

That knife is beautiful.

Brought this thread back up because I scored a Model 11 Spearpoint Folder last night. I will have it by next Friday.

The knife's design, especially the handle design, is what really sold me because I am fond of that squared off, pinky hold, butt.

Knife has a 4" blade of D2, and an o.a.l. od 9.25", and weighs 7.8 ounces, so it will be a heavy handful.................just like I like 'em!:thumbup:

Here are the specs;

The only negative here is that I will have to push the Bradley Mayhem, and ZT0500 back a month, but they will still be there so I'm not really worried.

Best I can do for a picture is to give a link to the knife. Courtesy of Gary moore of Moore Cutlery...........a great guy to deal with!!:thumbup::)

After looking at it, the blade is remminiscint of the Mercworx folder blades.
