Hope this is the right forum.. I didn't see a sub forum.

Anyhoo, is that a date code on the blade? Anyone? :D

Thanks

I like this little 3.1" knife. Like the Hunter, it came with a great factory edge.

Other side just because.

I think the newer version comes with a more conventional sleath. I like the steel clipped covered verions for the options it offers(like I don't wear belts with jeans very often). Also doesn't look like a knife as much either. Note old first gen 4 pin Bucklite 422 in the background from 82 or 83. My brother gave it to me for my birthday back then. Its skinned many a squirrel over the years.

Yes, that is the date code. Yours was made in Feb. of 1999. I've had several Irie fixers over the years and still have three different models. To me, they were one of the real bargains back then. $80.00-$120.00 for beautiful, real sambar stag, ATS-34 blades and as you know, expert craftsmanship from Mike.

All of mine except one came with the clip sheath just like yours. Great knives and some of my all-time favorites!
