Mike Janich Interview

Thanks Phil..
Mike Janich is a gentleman's gentleman..WHY? Because he's a good family man...a good friend...because here's a guy so polite, loyal and talented ... so aware of others, that he continually pushes others skill and image unto the public while usually ignoring his own position in the field...

Mike is the Chief Instructor and developed the in-house MBC program that's taught @ Spyderco and it's the same program that Mike teaches @ seminars..

If you THINK you know Mike..well check out the interview..
there is alot to Mike Janich...
He's got a real past that leads to his highly qualified present...

Congrats Mike..on your books, tapes, knife designs and on the continued success of your life and carreer..

be safe

Dear Bram:

Thank you for the kind words and your unfailing support and friendship. If it wasn't for the trailblazers like Jim Keating, Kelly Worden, and you, the rest of us would all still be eating raw meat and thumping people with rocks.

Also, a big thanks to Phil for the opportunity to be interviewed.

Stay safe,

Mike

I love all of the advancements and sharing of knowledge that you, Mr. Frank, Mr. Keating, Mr. Worden, and several others have brought to the world at large (especially Mr. Freedman and Mr. Brewster in Boston), but...

What's wrong with thumping people with rocks?

if you thump rocks enough ..they flake.....creating blades..so thump away and create lots of knives...
and if possible SEL the knives to the rest of the world...hehehe..spreading the knife culture based on thumping with rocks.....ROFL....:)

As one can see from Mikes post he continues to praise others..just as I stated! ROFL...

Look if any of you have a chance..go train with Mike..
can't get to Mike in person? go buy his videos or books or both..
Great sources of info and clear enough to learn from...

be safe

The rock-removal method is very popular, but some makers insist on a hand-foraged blade.
