I've met Mike personally at the PKA show and talked with him the past couple of years. Mike is a good guy and makes a great knife. He has a lot of really unique and interesting ideas I haven't really seen many other makers (if any in some cases) do. He does some cool things like "inlayed" mosaic damascus (I've seen him do flowers, even some dolphins on one of his knives), flower hamons, and of course works a lot with the meteorite damascus/meteorites.
I'm not a collector (I sit on the other side of the table and make knives, rather than buy them) so I can't really be of any help regards to the market out there for Mike's knives. Talking to him at the show this past weekend, it sounded like he had pretty good demand for the meteorite blades and they were keeping him pretty busy, so there must be some sort of customer basis/demand out there for them. Aside from that, all I can say is that I've met Mike and he's a great guy, and does very good work. You could try to contact Mike and ask him a bit more about the knife, how many he makes/sells, a bit about his customer base (who collects), etc. That may be your best bet, unless there are some other folks on here who have some of his work and can tell you more about the market than I can.
