Here's one from another maker you don't see a lot of. Mike Mooney made this hunter off a custom design. He had the twin to this (with black scales at the Blade Show). Chris Malouf did the engraving and inlay. I'm very pleased with the way the finished product looks.

Fine looking knife.
Lots of very good makers out there who you don't hear of too often.

Nicely engraved bolster and a good use of giraffe bone IMO, at least it looks like giraffe bone to me.
Thanks for sharing it.

Mike does make an outstanding knife and this hunter was a dream to work on.

Thank-you for posting this.

I had free rein in the engraving so I chose a dramatic interpretation of classic Victorian style scroll. A style I enjoy executing immensely because of the limitless possibilities of depth created through fine shading.

All the best,

Chris

Obviously, it's been a long time since I've been on here.
Thanks, Kevin C., for posting this photo. I hadn't seen it since you had it engraved.
Chris, fantastic job. Bailey is right! ...and the gold really sets it off.
Chuck and Kevin J., thanks for the kind comment.
Kevin F., I hope you are in a position to rebuild your collection someday soon!!!!!
Cheers!
Mike

Hi Mike, hope to see you in June at the Atlanta show. I'll be at table 17G as well as doing a bit of wandering around. Looking forward to seeing what you bring along.

Hi Chris, I'll be at table 6-E. Please stop by. It'll be hard for me to do much wandering as I'm there by myself.
Cheers!
Mike
