What do you get when you cross Joel Pirela's distinctive designs and Mike Obenauf's first rate workmanship? A very cool knife!:D

#6 of 10 was delivered to me last week. The Sonic has a 4" S30V blade and tan g10 scales(mine has black linen micarta scales to match my Pirela/Duncan X-Pert). Thanks to both Joel and Mike for a great knife.

I would like to hear from other collectors what they think of these limited run collaborations. I think they are a great way to own knives from our favorite makers that may be a stretch in terms of their usual designs. Any makers that would like to share their thoughts about building these knives would be welcome too.:)

Sam it looks like you picked yourself a winner.I really like the curves on the handle. It looks like your hand would lock right in.I like idea of the collaborations.I don't think I have seen one of Joel's I don't like and was extremely unique as well. The man sure has a fertile mind.

You can always recognize a knife that is designed by Joel Pirela. There is just something about the handles that is almost like a signature. The work done by Mike Obenauf is flawless.
