This is Mike's latest design. The model 2. What do you think? I have one with ironwood scales and jeweled liners that I love. I'll try to get a pic of that one up soon.

I am really impressed with his work. I have had several of his knives and can say that they keep getting better and better.

I have one of Obenauf's small Model 1's. . .and am enjoying the hell out of it !

Can you give us some spec info on the pictured Model 2's ?

The one pictured is a small w/ d2 steel, titanium liners and bolsters, and blue/black g-10 scales.

He makes a large and a small model two.

The small is
Length Closed: 4 1/4 inches
Blade Length: 3 1/8 inches

The large is
Length Closed: 4 7/8 inches
Blade Length: 3 7/8 inches

Looks great, Dennis! Love that blue and black G-10. Mike is definitely one of the rising stars in custom tac folders. Can't wait to add another of his to my collection!

Nice clean lines and my favourite blade style. This maker will be one to watch.

Thanks for the info Dennis. . .

I'm hopin' that a "fighter" style blade is in the works ! :D

I have a small model two with green and black micarta scales and no bolsters. The knife is very smooth and has a nice, fat blade that provides cutting ability beyond its 3" length. The only thing I don't like is that the clip does have a snug fit. Overall, Obenauf makes a great knife for the money. I got my model two for $30 less than a small Sebenza.

I don't believe he does. I am working on getting pics of all his models on my site.

My small model 1. Mike removed the "wrong side" thumbstud for me. Yes, the clip is far too strong.
