As you all know, Mike has been taking the integral knife to new places....so I thought I would try to challenge him with something different :D

adding in some curves in both the blade and the guard....

So, of course, Mike was more than up to the task !

different view emphasizing the beautiful S curve guard...

7" subtle recurve blade of Ws, with a sharp clip.
Handle is curly ebony, finished to 6000:cool: - yeah, I know it's impossible to see even in pics as great as these. It's extremely subtle, even in contrasting light.

Huge thumbs up to Mike and also to Coop for the awesome photos

Wow that is absolutely stunning! Congrats Bill - I'll be looking forward to seeing this one again come December.

Bill,

Congratulations on a beautiful knife.

Mike has upped his game, which was already great.

Thanks guys,

Mike is such a perfectionist, and such a good guy...I thought I might be torturing him with the curved guard on an integral....but he knocked it out of the park

I think I may have some WIP pics he sent me - you'd be amazed how close this was right off the anvil !

Now thats gorgeous and probably PERFECT in person. I have strong feeling for guards shaped like that (short s). If this were a woman... well thats another story. :)

That's awsome!...and a sharpened clip:). Wouldn't mind carrying that beauty. Great score, Bill!

Perfect and gorgeous. The subtle S curve integral guard, just the right size and ads to the wonderful character. Drooling over the beautiful ebony handle and tapered tang. A big congratulations. Mike

an amazingly beautiful knife particularly when considering that it is fully integral. Something to behold and even better to hold I would think. Both maker and collector must be thrilled and a great piece to be added to a collection.

Killer knife overall, and Mike's steel is nuts! Funny, I had a dream about an integral with a curved guard, last night.

Here is an "as forged" shot that Mike sent me...

Gorgeous knife, Bill, I don't know how you manage to keep from stabbing everything in sight with it! Mike is the goods, and his finish on the ebony is incredible, makes all the difference. Huge congrats!

it IS extremely "stabby" :D

here's the ebony pre-handle - as you can see, it's "curly" which is rare...but again, once it's finished the stripes are VERY hard to see (sadly)

Still, Mike and I thought the wood was perfect as a complement for the blade and guard

Bill, congrates on a fine addition to your collection. Mike is taking his integral's to places that only a few smiths can achieve. The Damascus is killer / blade shape design is pleasing to the eye / the handle proud fit scales the way Mike does it / the domed pins are perfect / the S guard just the icing on the cake. I had the great opportunity to hold this in hand. Wow what a nice knife.:thumbup:

Thanks for sharing with Coops pics
