Well, I promised some pics of my new Mike Williams Hunter in action after our hog hunt. While it did see "service" on my belt, unfortunately, it saw no "action". Otherwise I would have posted in the "knives in action" thread. We saw lots of deer but no hogs so the knife remained in the sheath for the duration. Maybe next time. I did still take some new pics during our down time.

Mark - Glad you posted about Mike Williams, ABS Master Smith. I've been a fan of Mike and his knives for years, especially his Bowie style knives. Having had several discussions with Mike about his hunting adventures out here in Colorado, it was clear to me that he thoroughly understood what was important about knives for the hunter and outdoorsman. So, this year at the Arkansas Knifemakers' Association show in Little Rock, I was able to snag one of his nice hunters - very similar to the one above. This one is a using knife for me also. Tip 'o the hat to Mike as well for right pricing. Anyone wanting a nice-but-not-fancy custom hand-made hunter/utility belt knife with a good serviceable sheath would be tempted by one of these.

Another nice Williams hunter. I remember seeing that one in LR. I bought the mammoth feather Damascus he had at that show. I spent some time at Mike's shop this past Sunday and got a preview of what he's bringing to Blade show. Nice line up of hunters and something special I'll leave for surprise.
Thanks for posting yours.

Forgot to mention that Mike calls this a Ouachita hunter - like wash-it-ah, the river and the tribe. The Ouachita are also known as the Caddo. I looked it up. :D
