I didn't ask Mike if I could do this, but he is too modest to toot his own horn so I'm just posting this. I hope it's okay! ;)

I know there is a great deal of talent that frequents this forum that many of you are not totally aware of. I'm trying to open some eyes to it.

I was just as impressed with Mike's personability when I met him as I was with his knives...and I just wanted to show it off a little :D

Check this out, it's just flat gorgeous!

I don't get to shows and haven't been keeping up with the various publications so I really enjoy stuff like this. That is truly a gorgeous knife!:)

I don't often comment too much on other makers, but I had to reply to this one. Mike Williams is one of a very small group of guys that I consider to be both my mentors, and close personal friends.

Aside from being an accomplished ABS Mastersmith, Mike (or Mr. Mike as I often call him) is one heck of a guy, and just an outright fun person to be around. If you ever end up in a room with Mike Williams and Jerry Fisk, you'd better be ready for a lot of laughs, a lot of ribbing and pranks, and a darn good time. Also, make sure that you have at least one notepad, and two or three pencils or pens, because the knowledge and information will be flowing like water.

Thanks Nick. It's good to see some of Mike's work shown here.

Thanks Nick for posting this. Beautiful knife and great comments from one of the people who should and will drive this endeavor. Making hard, dark hot stuff, into cold hard shiny, sharp stuff is the calling of many and the practice of few. It is fun to be related to the Nicks, Bruces and Mikes of the knife making kingdom, if only by some obscure liniage. Terry

Dang Nick, Terry, and the rest of ya'll. You guys will swell my head up if I'm not careful. But really; Thanks. It means a lot coming from your friends and peers. I owe everything to the ABS. Good friends and great makers who encourage, help, advise, and insist on quality. If they can drag me along, anybody can do it. Again; thanks for the kind words. mike

Mike,
It is always nice to have a few kind words spoken about the ones that deserve it. Hope you have a great Day
