Here is a recent custom order I received from Mike Wilson.
He recently posted a Hunter with a Fireball Buckeye Burl handle which I missed grabbing. I emailed him and he still had some handle material so I ordered a knife. The details are:

OAL: 8 1/4" Blade: Chad Nichols Damascus, 3 3/4". Handle: Fireball Buckeye Burl, mosaic pins, Buffalo horn bolster, thong bushing, red liners - Sheath hand tooled by maker

Mike was great to work with and gave me regular updates as he worked on this knife. The fit and finish are extremely good and the handle speaks for itself. The Chad Nichols Damascus is perfect.

Very nice.
A lot going on there in a small knife with the damascus, buckeye burl, spacers,
mosaic pins, thong hole and buffalo horn but it all works in my opinion.

I like the blade, and the handle design but the material doesn't catch my eye. The fir and finish looks great.

Gorgeous handle material and the knife is nice too!!!!!!

Thanks barty, I am pleased that you like your knife. It was indeed a pleasure doing a commission with you. Mike Wilson

That's a rich knife by every measure. Nicely done. Congrats to both!

I agree with the comments made by others - different, cool, good-looking. Congrats on a very nice piece.

For some reason, that buckeye burl REALLY butters my toast! I've never seen this stuff before. Is this a readily available wood? Source? DANG! That stuff is COOL!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
