I would like to know the material on the handle and also what the sheath is made out of. I attached a link to a picture. Thanks a lot. And if anyone knows the value of this knife I would appreciate that too.

I had a guy tell me the sheath is possibly dyed elephant hide. Is there any true to that?

Handle appears to be a dyed wood laminate. I've got a rifle stock made out of roughly the same thing.

Don't feel bad: I didn't read the FAQ's either, to my lasting embarrassment!

As for it being elephant hide, I find that unlikely. Why go out of your way to buy, and dye, such an exotic material, when plain old leather does the job, just fine?

sweet. Dymondwood huh? That good to know. What does everyone think of this knife? I think it's a good looking knife. Also I like the animal imprints in the sheath
