KAAK: Thanks for your very generous offer, but I am counting on the INFI as ballast.
MIKE: We are just spectators on this one. Probably just some tree limbs down and out of power for awhile. If we end up having a lot of trouble, at least I can get my hands on a good knife or two.
Kathy, Kim and I went to Mobile Saturday for our niece's engagement party.
We were to spend the night, but about 7PM I decided to come back to Birmingham, in case Mobile became the target. I didn't want to be caught up in possible evacuation traffic on Sunday.
After 32 years of working storms in the field or in the Alabama Power Company storm center, I still haven't gotten accustomed to staying at home during these things.
