Thanks.

I think back to my last real contact with the Birmingham Police Department.

Kimberly was lying near death, having just moved from the ER to the NICU.
It was early morning. A short, young black man in a Birmingham PD uniform appeared in the waiting room. He had been one of the responding officers to the hit and run. He had just gone off duty. He came to me, offered condolences regarding my daughter, and asked for her name so that his church could be in prayer for her. I was extremely impressed and will never forget this. On his own time, seeking me out.

bad fricking deal :(
did they take and bad guys out with them, do you have a link to the story?
bad deal :(

They were ambushed by one or more people with 7.62x39's ( some reports said AK47 and some said SKS) while attempting to serve an arrest warrant. Police have four people in custody, including the prime shooting suspect.

Latest reports say that it was a misdemeanor warrant. Three officers dead over a misdemeanor warrant?

Bastids.

That officers actions are not that unusual. When I worked for the SO up here, got to know that they really are human.

My condolences to those families and to the department.

Hope the shooter(s) fry.
