Does anybody know where I can get the Military compresses in the olive green plastic pouches? Bridgades Quartermaster used to carry them but does not have them anymore and my local Army/Navy doesn't have them either. I believe they are also called trauma packs but am not sure. They fit into a compass/first aid pouch on your web gear.

Hi Grantdouglas,

We use them in our first aid kits at scouting. The Dutch (Nato) versions are in a rubberized cloth OD wrapping and the trauma pad is Gamma radiation sterilized and is kind of light OD color.
They come in several sizes up to 10"x12" trauma pads but we have ones sized about 4" by 5" (unwrapped) I could sent you the outside dimensions when I'm home from work.

How many do you need ? I could try sending some over the big Ocean if you're prepared to cover for postage.

Just drop me an email,

Best scouting wishes from Holland,

Bagheera
Grantdouglas, it pays off to have friends in the military

Check Army surplus stores, if there's any near you. Usually $1.50-2/ea. Used to see them in bins at gun shows sometimes.
