Mil-tac Mtf-1 ?

If I'm going to drop a buck sixty nine on a knife I would appreciate a more definitive description of blade material other than "stainless steel".

It seems like one of the knife mags did a write up on mil-tac's stuff, (months ago) though they talked about their folders (some of which which are, STILL, not yet on the mil-tac website). If I recall the steel in question is n690co, and the reviewer was very favorable towards the knives he reviewed.

The MIL-TAC MTF-1 and MTF-2 folding knife blades are made from N690Co stainless steel. These folders were designed for MIL-TAC by our close friend Allen Elishewitz and have been very well received. They use full length stainless steel liners with G10 handles in either black, desert tan, flat earth brown, or a OD green/foliage mix. The folders have a ambidextrous thumb stud, reversible stainless steel pocket clip,

We are planning a major update to our web site in late August and early Sept. to clear up any issues that are unresolved. Please email me if you have any additional questions or would like to located a dealer in your area.

Thanks,

hi craig, welcome to bladeforums! are you planning on updating the pictures of the folders to show the different colored grips? i am thinking about gettinga g-10 handled one. but haven't decided on the color yet. i have been trying to get some feedback on your knives on how they feel in the hand and how well they hold an edge? maybe i will have to get my own to do a reveiw on.:)

Craig Sword posting on BFC, COOL!. Welcome! I've got a question about the folders as well. There was one for sale here a while back and the seller mentioned a "LAWKS" safety in addition to the liner lock? Is this the same as CRKT uses? I eagerly await the website update. :)
