A buddy of mine was cleaning out his basement and came upon a couple of old military blades that he gave me. One is the pilot survival and the other is a Case with a blade shaped like an old bayonet. Both have leather handles that are absolutely green with mildew as is the leather sheath of the survival knife. I've cleaned up mildewed boots before by mixing Clorox with water and using saddle soap with a brush. Do you think this would be alright to do to the handles? Also would neatsfoot oil be all right to use after the handles are cleaned?
Thanks!
