High carbon 1080 steel 4 inch blade. Handle cast copper and bronze (both white and yellow bronze) with mammoth ivory. Cast hollow so not overly heavy. Totem fish etch on blade. Eagle wolf bear heads as them in castin

Used 3 different o above knife metals, copper and white bronze and brass combines with mammoth ivory. The challenge of this piece was the use of rubber stamps on the wax I cast to get the floral pattern. Plus trying to cast hollow to keep weight down. Otherwise cast handles get to heavy!
Below used fosisl 40,000 year old bison bone lost wax casting a guard gives a good way to artistically connect the handle and blade on a variety of odd shaped materials

Bison bone handle with HHH Damascus steel. Fossil bone is about 40,000 years old off the Tanana River Alaska. End cap is musk ox horn with custom paw print pins. Blade has copper hammered in and feather etch. Custom cast guard with wolf theme Brass for guard off barge propeller from the Yukon River
