Just wondering I could get some input regarding the MilGanza Warden, Active Duty and Meaner offerings. What made them unique? How many where made? Hog only or public offering?

Thanks!

There was no MilGanza GW, but one of the GW's in the lineup is the same combo of black canvas handles & sage coating, and another GW of the lineup has tan canvas handles & brown "Muddy" coating like the two combos offered of the MilGanza AD's & Meaners.

What made them unique was that they were sterile, as most (but not all) Mili Overruns usually are (The AD & Meaner). The GW's were not MO's, like I said, so they carry the Busse logo.

It was a general offering, AFAIK, and there seems to be plenty in existence. No numbers were ever given; rarely does Jerry tell us how many of a certain model are out there. On these, he did offer a small price break if one were to buy 2 'sets' of an AD & Meaner, but I can't remember the exact details of this price break offhand.

Hope this helps! :)

IIRC the Miliganza was the first time the Sage/Desert Olive coating was offered.

thet are very nice, can't tell ya anymo' than that...
i really enjoy mine, ergonomics is fantastic, fit me mitts much gooder than most...lol

The miliganza's where the sage/black micarta and the Muddy/Tan micarta in the AD and MrS. Great knives at a great price, and you can still find then at a great price.

I would say there was more made of these two than any Busse knife to date (edit-from a ganza or BCS, not talking about Reg company offerings)
I know someone that sent in there email days after the Ganza and still scored.

The BCS offered some at the same thickness in diff combo's, but those are not considered miliganza since they were at BCS and not in a Ganza.

Sage set with the non-MO GW

Thickness was .195, little thicker than the prior offerings.

Awesome, thanks a bunch fella's. I have a set coming, and was curious about the spec's and details. Great pictures too!

JJ, I have a GW inbound that very closely resembles the one in your picture. It was described as sage/green linen, but I'm wondering if it's actually the same as yours. Picture attached for reference.

I think the Mili's handles are more grey than your GW, but it's kind of hard to tell. Dry, there probably won't be much visible difference, but once your AD and MrS show up you can wipe the handles on all three w/mineral oil, and any differences will show more.

You getting a Leprechaun Warden (Happy St. Patty's ), Sage/Green Linen, I never got one of those :(, all I got was a Satin/Green Linen :D

Nice score !

If you look at the density of the handle pattern, the Canvas Micarta is much coarser than the linen (my favorite handles)

Perfect, being of Irish descent, I'm really looking forward to that little leprechaun coming home.

IIRC, this was not told beforehand, but everyone that Ganza'd on the MilGanza got filled, no matter what. THAT was a shock. I didn't bother trying b/c I was out that night and could live without a few more AD's. Then was flabbergasted that I could have been filled had I only sent in my email after I got home.

Moral of the story - no matter HOW late you are - ALWAYS send in your email.

Happy ending - yes they were at the BCS a bit later. I got filled as needed. :)

Hold on, the Lep Warden was OD/Green linen. The OD is now called Green... the one you are getting is sage/Green linen. Awesome blade, just not the Leprechaun warden.
BTW- we just make up some of these names and they just stick sometimes so any form of green could be a Lep Warden I guess, lol.

My mistake

So did the Sage/Green Linen have a moniker ?

.... I'm too lazy to look it up.

Not that I know of...

well, other than sage & green linen. :D

Edited to add: And the onlu Mil. Overrun GWs that I know of were the SMOG wardens.
Special Military Overrun Game Warden.

The desert olive (Sage) coating was first offered on the special overrun ZTBM a few years ago. Not sure when, but it was long before the milliganza. The BIBB was pre milliganza as well.
