Hi Guys,

I really love the Ganzas but this one was a real mess. I guessed we kept ALL the other Bladefourms members from getting into the boards for over 3+ hours. Jerry sold probably over $1,000,000 worth of Fusion Battle Mistress's through these boards ( his Busse Combat website does not have much traffic ) Since Jerry is essentially using Bladeforums to pitch his line, shouldn't he pitch in and get Bladeforums a new super high-speed server to handle the traffice of his Ganzas. Anyone have any other ideas???

I don't know man...

I'm sure the non-busse Bladeforums guys were ticked-off, again... :o

BUT, There are a lot of people loyal to bladeforums ONLY because of Busse. What I mean is, they buy gold and platinum memberships ONLY to buy and sell Busse blades. And there are many that upgrade their membership not only to have selling privileges, but also just because they enjoy the Busse part of this sight (out of a sense of what is right.) When all is said and done, I think Jerry is helping Bladeforums. Remember also, Jerry has donated some pretty sweet blade auctions to help support Bladeforums.

What you're saying is also true --- Bladeforums certainly is helping Busse Combat sell knives and maintain this strong sense of community we love. But I would guess (because I really don't know) that upgrading the system only for the purpose of these 'ganza's (that only happen a few times a year - totaling a few hours per year) would not be cost efficient at all.
If Spark and others were wanting Jerry to do something, it would probably be better to come up with a different format than the ganza's -- something entirely new -- some new form of hog trickery  :D

I was frustrated last night too, and thought about going on to bed and forgetting the whole thing. But it's part of the fun -- the difficulty of obtaining that perfect blade. Good luck to everyone on this one

I already did. . . It was my idea to start the Bladeforums auctions in order to defray the costs of new servers. We donated a number of blades that were to be auctioned off on ebay. The first knife of ours that sold, went for $1,800.00. The custom variant and other assorted Swamp Rat blades have yet to hit the auction blocks. I would imagine that once these auctions are complete that our first round of knives will have brought in more than $4,000.00. Nuke On!!!

Very cool Boss...

This has got to be the best community in all of forums. The Jeep forums I belong to have a lot of immature selfish people on them. Not here...

WoooooT!

Right on Jerry! Very cool.

I would say that having the Busse forum on Bladeforums is a HUGE plus for Bladeforums. Brings in a lot of traffic and subscriptions.

Take a look at the bottom of the forum from time to time. I'd say at least half of the people that frequent the Busse forum are paying Bladeforums members. What percentage of all registered Bladeforums users are paying members? HINT-it's a lot less than 50%.

Now THAT's a pretty strong contribution.

I don't think much else has to be or can be said regarding that issue. Thanks Jerry! I for one didn't even try to get in on these awesome blades even though I would love to have one of each. I came home from a nice long bike ride with the family and some friends and hit the forums once, no luck getting in there or at the home forum so I said screw it. Save my money for the anniversary blades I guess. :)

The positive economic benefit is not only to Bladeforums. Before the end of this week my 8 year old Dell, my Windows 98 and my dial-up service are gonna be history!

The only question now is, Cable modem or DSL? Probably DSL, as I detest our local cable company.

I have been trying to plan a fitting end for this PC. Right now, my brother-in-law's pasture and a .44 Magnum carbine figure prominently in the plan.

Have you ever seen how hot charcoal will burn if you add some liquid oxygen?

I suggest you fire up some charcoal, dump it in the computer, then add the LOX.

No clean up required!

Hammy likes to stab knives through ammo boxes at shows. Maybe he'd be willing to send a few knives through it for you at Blade this year. Sort of a two birds, one stone thing. This leaves the option open for you to tie it behind your truck to drag it up here.

Sure you donate knive Jerry (WINK, WINK,WINK).

I won't believe it till I win one for $200 tops!!

Really, the only reason I'm here is because of the Busse and Swamp Rat people.

Thanks Jerry
