Hey Gents,

In regards to the back spacer on my military the one that’s there has some human made tool mark / nick and doesn’t fit quite right. You can see the liner between the back spacer and G-10, if that makes sense. No big deal…

Which brings me to; does anyone know of maker and / or have a custom made back spacer? I remember sometime ago seeing a picture of a back spacer running all the way to the lanyard bushing with square checking for grip. Or does anyone have a solution for fixing or replacing the one I have? I’m thinking maybe of putting just aluminum bushing in place of the standard one.

Any pictures or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

P.S. – Sal and Spyderco crew, I’m sure all the Lefty knife nuts would agree, we need a Lefty Ti Military with the RIL, possibly with some S90V, M4, or newly produced, highly exotic-crazy Carpenter Technology steel. Oh and maybe stonewashed. (Just need to make the voice heard, Thanks again)

i'm not sure which milie you have, but my foliage green version had a plastic backspacer with metal bushings pressed into the holes. i simply pushed the bushings out and used them as spacers.

i also made a micarta backspacer for my tenacious, and just drilled it for the metal spacers that came with the knife.

all i had to work with was a drill, a scrollsaw, some files, and sandpaper.
