Military 2 hole clip

I just picked up an old model Military with the 2 hole clip. The clip is missing, but the rest of the knife looks pretty nice. Am i crazy to think i can find an original clip for this or do they pop up for sale? If it was to be a user i would probably just slap a regular clip on and not worry about the third hole, but i just want it to look original.

I would mod a new clip. The new clips have a curve to them and the oldest ones are straight but trimming off the top hole part of the clip would at least look a little more original.
 
It sounds like i am out of luck to find an original. I can mod the newer style one if needed. I am just going to keep my eyes open for an old one. If i can't find anything i may just dump the knife. I just bought it because it looked nice and vintage.
 
I have an old one in black blade ATS-34 steel with the 2 hole clip.Mine has the curved 2 hole clip.
The curios thing is the handle screws are on the other side of yours.
What steel is yours ??

Edit: Spyderco has no clips from this era and the person I spoke to never saw one of these before. I sent a picture to her for a reference.
