I noticed the micarta had no attachment to the liner near the lanyard hole and was lifting slightly , I used a clip screw each side and a low profile kydex type fastener. Solid as a rock now. I couldn’t find anything any better online that provided this type support for the scales going thru the lanyard hole.

Well the lanyard tube is not holding the liner or micarta well on one side, so a reinforcement was needed for structural integrity. I just found something in Canada that looks like it might work well and look better with my silver hardware. It made of nickel, is beveled, so it’s not sticking way out like some of the the junk I seen people trying to sell for lanyard plugs. No telling how long this will take to arrive, USPS has their own way of leaving things lay for another day or three.

I’ve had the same issue when changing scales out. Once I got the new scales on, I slightly flared the lanyard tube with a punch and a few taps of a hammer. It held the scale into the lanyard tube perfectly.

It’s a typical problem … I’ve routinely added one additional spacer close to the lanyard on my Manix 2, but never to another Spyderco.

Of o have to flare I’ll try this .50 cal. pill and lil hammer.
