Military 2 release date expectation?

I expect the Military 2 to come out sometime before 2020 (hopefully).

The patent drawing has been up for a while now.

There is no expectation, other than "someday."

The patent is a little obscure in relation to the topic of this thread since it doesn't actually say "Military 2".
If you will notice, the patent was filed in 2005. Have patience.

It says filed in '02. PUBLISHED in '05.
Oh lawdy lawdy! It's either already prototyped, or sitting on the back burner. Let's hope it's the former.

i thought i knew enough about knives to understand the description fully but no. it sounds like an improved kind of lockback that also backstops the blade from overextending (but LBs already do that.) it may be a much simpler version of the triad. it takes a more elaborate tang notch and bar nub design.

Hi Shqxk,

It's hung up in engineering at this time. No immediate schedule. One of the disadvantages of being a small company.

When we do make the "2" model, it will run alongside of rather than replace the linerlock version.

We also have another "new" lock on the drawing board.

IIRC, Sal Glesser has said several times that the situation is the latter.

Yeah, on the other hand, I plan to buy a Mil2 just out of curiosity about the lock. (I am perfectly serious about that, too. :thumbup: )
