For those of you who don't know, David from Great Lakes Water Jet started a contest where he sent out 20 blanks to various volunteers for each to make a knife to give to a military member as a thanks for serving. Alex Shunnarah donated a Dog Tag knife to each maker and Spec-Ops donated the sheath. Here is the one that I came up with:

It will be presented to the Marine Special Agent in Charge (SAIC) of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) next Thursday at 0900 hrs. I'm really excited to give him the package. He will do the final presentation personally to a "deserving recipient" to hopefully see some field use in the sandbox. I gave him a few ides (raffle it for their MWR fund, present to a military person at Walter Reed, do a pass around with the deployed Marine agents in the sandbox, etc.) and he said he will let me know what the final outcome is of the blade. Thanks to David for coming up with this!!!!
Blade: Flat ground 3/16 ATS-34, hand sanded to 400 grit, bead blasted and sprayed with Gun Kote (black / green tiger stripe)
Heat treated by Peters Heat Treat to RC 59-60
Handle: Green / Black G-10
Pins: 3 hidden 3/16" stainless, 2 stainless 1/4" Corby bolts
