I'd like to take a moment to say thank you to all the men and women who serve or have served in our nations military.
I'd also like to thank the families of those in service.
Your sacrifices and dedication are appreciated.
I'm honored to live in a country that is protected by brave individuals who give so much.
Thank you.

To all serving today: Thank you and come home soon.

I grew up a Navy Bratt, I know what each and every one of you go threw or at least from the family side. As i have sat here today thinking of all the sacrifices that you all have or will give it's an honor knowing that there are still a few good men and women willing to stand up and protect our freedom no matter what the cost and no matter what fool sits in the white house.. I commend each of you and that you from the bottom of my heart for my freedom...

1st Battalion 8th Marines (we were called the Beirut Battalion) saddest day in my life Oct. 23 1983. I lost 241 brothers that day. I'm proud to have served then as a young 19 year old kid. I'm proud of those serving who have stepped up and served this great country whether in a combat or non-combat role. All of those who serve sacrifice. That sacrifice deserves respect and honor. Being a Veteran myself I appreciate the thread, , We all need to take time to remember all the lives that have been lost to make this country what it is, remember the fallen, they are the ones that deserve the most credit, they payed the ultimate price...

all that I wanted to do is pass out this list that a fellow vet gave me that he got from the Orlando Florida va clinic. I was hoping to help other vets save a little bit of money so they can buy more knives that they want.

To those of you who decided to hijack this thread, you'll get no more warnings. Stay on topic or do not post. I removed the posts that were stinking up this thread.

I remember on my 17th birthday I got a call from the army recruiter at 5:00am do you want to join the army. I told him don’t ever call me again. One month later I was on a plane going to boot camp. I join the reserves and I only lasted a year. They told me I had several option. One I had to go active, two was I would get a bad discharge, three I could just do the reserves. I went full time and I don’t regret it one bit. They are now covering my medical bills. I can ask them for help and they say we will see what we can do for you. I think every one should at least join the reserves. It will teach you a lot. I am very proud to have severed my country. I will try to help out any vet that I can about benefits that they can get for being in.
