Does anyone know the approximate hardness of the M_9 bayonet in general?
Specifically, I have a Lan-Cay that I started sharpening with conventional stones (Lansky).
I ended up using a mill file. I don't know the HRC, but it is obviously notably below normal knife range.
I understand a bayonet is designed to take much more abuse/misuse and shock than a normal knife.
I am a maker so I understand the HRC range, I was just curious if there was a specified hardness for the M_9.
Thanks,
Paul
