Will Spyderco ever offer the C36 Military with a black coated blade like they did when it was first introduce or is it just wishful thinking?

Does anyone have one for sale?

You don't want one. The QC on my personal example was horrendous, totally atypical of spyderco knives.

It was one of the first black TiN plain edged ATS34 models out, and had major problems. The G10 turned a funky shade of brown, the pocket clip wouldn't stay screwed in and was eventually ripped off inadvertently exiting a bradly. The liner lock went all the way to the other side, butting up against the scale.
The blade had both vertical and horizontal blade play.

The newer Military versions have NONE of these problems, or at least in the two I own, both being the triangle clipped, CPM440V version. Nor seen on the Starmate.

I'd be wary about tracking a black blade Military down based on my own experience, few were produced as well. Hope this helps.

I can say that there are not two better production folders being produced than the Military and the Starmate.

Improvements in QC generally and with the Mil in particular mean that a run of the CPM Mils in black is high on my wishlist. BTW, my black Mil is one of my very favoritist Spydies and a definite keeper. Although I might be tempted to sell it when I win the CF version!
