Is it possible to send in my Military and have the blade switched from 440V to S30V? What would the cost be?

I know they will replace a broken blade for 25.00.It may not be possible the exchange 440 with 30V.The pivots used are differant, just a guess though.

Hi Sharkman. It is as Jeff suggests. The pivots are different. There are also a few minor engineering refinements. Sorry.

Sharkman, honestly if you want the newest S30V by all means buy yourself a new Millie, but just from my experince the slight difference you would gainin preformance surely wouldn't be worth trashing a perfectly good CPM440 blade.
I say this knowing full well I intend to buy a new PE S30V as soon as possible, but I don't intend to leave my older models home, even my old ATS-34 SE.
My only point in this statement is to maybe convince you you don't have an inferior product with the 440V, All mine take and hold a fantastic edge, again progress is all good, and Spyderco can NEVER be called a company sitting on it's laureals. Ron
