Military Carbon Fiber and BG 42

There is a Spyderco Military with Carbon Fiber Handles and BG42 blade steel and I was wondering the production years and how many were made. I know this is a somewhat limited item and I was wondering if I should buy this knife.

They also make Military with carbon fiber scales and an S30V or S90V blade.
 
Thanks for the replies. I am low on money but I might be able to persuade my dad into getting it. It sucks being obsessed with knives but not having a job.(im only 15)
 
super knife,i got 3 in different steels they all 3 lockup super....get one they are getting hard to find.........

I'm stuck in the same situation as you, it really sucks.
 
We just went out and bought it! It really is an amazing piece, and Im glad to have it in my collection.
 
congrats on the find, I think it's safe to say this is one of the most desired Spydercos on the aftermarket
it was indeed made in 2006; if you want to know the month of manufacturing and you haven't got the box, just keep in mind there is a stamp on the blade (you have to disassemble the knife though)

Yep great knife. The steel is excellent and I really like the CF these handles are made out of.

Congrats! It is a great knife and out of all my knives (including three other millies), it is my absolute favorite.

Weird :confused:

I have 2 and only one of them has a date stamp.... there are certainly differences between the 2 I own. I'm thinking they were done in 2 or 3 batches and small changes were made between the batches. For instance, my undated BG-42 has the red coloring on the jimping leftover from the laser cutout process. My dated BG-42 does not have this. I've also noticed that the radiused edges on the carbon fiber are different between the 2 examples I have.
