Military exercises in Norway (knife content)

THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE POLITICAL. I'm posting it because of the content (knives.)

I've been watching some of these military maneuvers over the last several years, especially where our soldiers are working in the snow & extreme cold. I had several friends in the USMC who participated in Northern Wedding '86 during our NATO deployment then.) Some interesting knife content in the beginning of the video.

Even in my younger days I don't know if I could have handled this kind of thing.

That reminds me that when I was a skier I often had use of a pocket knife - to chip ice off my bindings !!

The real "problem" in norway (along the coast) isn`t really the Cold (lots of Places are colder), allthough you could get -40 in the inland (not usual), but the fact that one day it could be -12 C, the Next day it is 5 C and Heavy rain, and then a day or two With -5 or -10....
Sometimes it you even get these conditions in one day.

As it is said; if you don`t like the weather, just wait a few minutes.

Good to know! Winter 2015-2016 we went to Cogne (Italy) for ice climbing... Norway is another possible destination for winter 2016-2017!
