Military for left hand carry

Unless you have a titanium Military, you cannot tap G-10. Well, I've done it, but you have to be careful on how tight you make them screws, and use Loc Tite to make up for the lack of torque. Aside from that, don't think there is any metal on the other side of the handle, and the clip screws would probably interfere with the lock mechanism. Unless you were to make it a tip-up carry. Do that, and you could find some small screws and nuts at a local model aviation hobby shop. There is plenty of room in the handle for nuts on the butt end of the handle. Been there done that. See the pics below, the knife on the left has holes drilled on the butt end for tip-up carry. Don't like tip up carry, so reverted back to standard. That knife is around 20 years old, so not concerned about the extra holes. It's my edc beater upper knife.

Otherwise, Spyderco did make a production left hand model. Not sure if they're available anymore though. Below is a pic in which my leftie is included with two righties.

Yeah I'd also recommend trawling the Exchange here in search of a Lefty Millie. They pop up just about every week. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding one.

Then you'd have one for both hands! :D

I've had no issues drilling and tapping the g10 directly following the advice given by STR here:
http://strsbackyardknifeworks.blogspot.com/2012/02/how-well-will-g-10-hold-screw.html?m=1
#48 drill bit for 2-56 screws and no loctite or super glue.
As mentioned though, it's not too difficult to sink some nuts under the scale for added security.

The newer military models do have steel liners on both sides, and there might be enough space for clip holes if you want to go tip down. With the curve on the stock clip, you'd have to use a different one though.

Glock_566, send me an email at Sketchenscales at gmail.com if you'd like to discuss.
