When I got my military the g-10 scales were textured and rough feeling and since I EDC it the scales are getting A bit smooth for my taste. Does anyone how to get that roughness back or send it to anyone to retexture it.
:)Thank you in advance

Depends. If it has just gotten crud in the texturing, a good cleaning with a toothbrush and dish detergent would help. If you've had it long enough to actually wear the texture down, I don't think there's much that can be done.

I cleaned them before posting just to make sure. The texturing has worn down just wondering what could be done. Thanks for the reply.

You may be able to send it to a person that makes handles to add some sort of texture to it. It's not going to be checkered grippy again unless you have the scales replaced. You could have someone make some scalloped patterns similar to the Spyderco Perrin PPT.

True, but I wonder if that would seriously compromise the strength of the handle. The PPT has extremely thick full liners while the Military has partial, nested ones. The G-10 on the PPT may be thicker than that used on the Military as well, at least when compared to the areas milled out for the liners. Checkering would remove less material. I know there are folks who checker micarta, but not sure if anyone checkers G-10. The glass fibers may be too hard on the files.

Getting someone to make new scales may be a tough one because the liners are nested and the laynard tube is a flared fit. Even if you did find someone I'd expect to pay 100+

Its normal for G10 to do this but it really nothing to worry about.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I believe if it get to bothering me to much I'll just buy a nib used it will probably be cheaper.
