Sal,
With a 440V, S30V and S30V/Bodycote Millie, I have definitely come to appreciate this extraordinary knife.

Many of the knife companies that spend a lot of time marketing to military personnel offer FRN, G10 and aluminum in colors like OD and Coyote Brown.

A black bladed, S30V millie with OD or Coyote Brown G10 would be an almost guaranteed hit IMO - distinctive, practical and attractive.

Any consideration or are there cost/engineering issues associated with colored G10 that make it impractical?

Great knives, great company - thanks for your dedication to this industry and to your products.

i know emerson quit making green G10 handles because of cost, supposedly, IIRC it really wasnt much higher but i guess if ya make thousands of items it adds up. personalyy i like the colored G10, colors other than black, have a couple of green G10 EKI's, so i'd like it myself.

dont care about coatings on blades till they come up with one that doesnt scuff up, i dont have a need for the protection myself, its all aesthetics, till then i prefer satin myself. but diff strokes/diff folks..........

A Military with OD or Coyote Brown scales and a DLC coated blade would be a hit.

Wow, this thread went nowhere.

Looks like I overestimated the desire for colored scales! Now back to our regular programming...
