Has there ever been a military or paramilitary in h1? Will there ever be? If not, why? I mean how awesome would a digi camo pm2 be?!?!
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

To each his own, I guess. I can close a Spyderco lockback with one hand easier and more safely than a liner lock. As for people wanting everything in H-1, it beats me. Sometimes I think they want it just because they can't have it.
While not technically impossible, it is highly unlikely. As already mentioned, H1 is a Japanese steel, so it would have to be made in Japan. This alone complicates things since they would have to either recreate the tooling or send existing tooling to Japan. Then add in the fact that H1 is nearly impossible to flat grind at a factory level and it's not looking good.
I have no desire for higher end knives in H1. It just doesn't have the edge holding of most lower end steels, at least in plain edge that I have tried. It gets sharp easy, and it gets dull almost just as easy. The blade scratches like crazy which isn't a big deal but not very attractive after a couple months in a pocket. I just don't understand the desire I guess. In a lower end beater knife that gets used hard and put away wet (literally) it is nice to have one on the boat.

The reason I want one in it is because I really like not having to baby it the way I do other blades... Even ones that don't need it! I just really, really don't like oxidation on my blades! I'm planning on getting a pm 2 an,d had one of crazy ideas of it being made in h1. Iv had nothing but good experience with it. Mine is fully serrated, it is only used to cut rope thoough.
i'd be amenable to a military in M390, but the problem is that none are available from commercial vendors - plenty of Benchmades in M390 though... i guess Spyderco has discontinued that steel for the military?
