any coating i have ever seen, irregardless of the coater, will scuff when ya use the knife, thats just life.
the top coating imho is the bodycote one, diamond something something cant remember, they claim it wont scuff/scratch, it will, believe me.
now by scuff i mean it will get scuffs ya can see, the coating still is doing its job (protecting the metal) but ya can still see the scuffs.
i dont like them irregardless of the fact probably 1/3 of the knives i have feature coated blades, so its not a big deal, not a deal breaker, and its all aesthetics, just dont like the look of a scuffed up blade myself. some do.
point being i would say yes they do show wear.
