Military or Police

With my new job, I now have to wear somewhat dressy slacks and occasionally they tend to be a dark color. Well, that dark color highlights my shiny stainless clip on my Al Mar Sere 2k just a bit too much. So, I'm going to use that as an excuse to pick up another daily carry knife with a black clip to use with darker pants. I'm sure most of you know about the S2K, so I won't bother with its specs, but I'm looking for a knife thats similar in size and capabilities. To those ends, the three that seem to fit in are Military, CF Police, and Chinook. However, I'm going to leave the Chinook out for now because its even heavier than the already heavy S2K.

Between the Military and Police, which one do you guys prefer and why? Both are very similar in size, shape, and price, but I haven't handled either.

Thanks.

The only Police currently in production is the stainless model and it has the silver clip. Unless you are willing to use heat-shrink tubing, you would need to find a discontinued G10 or CF Police and they are kinda pricey compared to the C36 Military. The Mil would be a good bet. New blade steel, improved tolerances, thicker G10, etc. Probably the best deal going in a med/large folder. In fact, you may find yourself leaving the S2K in the drawer once you experience the Military. Give it a look.

On second thought, scratch the heat shrink tubing idea. Enough of the stainless scales show above the pocket seam that it really wouldn't do much good.

The Military is very light for it's size making it "dress pants" friendly. An other option would be an Endura.tom.:)

Go for the Military,I have not found any other folder I like as well includeing a Classic Sebenza.

Mili would be a good choice.
For formal dress, you might want to give the Vesuvius a try.
