I ordered another military. This makes the third one I have owned.Guess can't get along with out one.Do most people get the plain or serrated? Also, I could have got a ats-34 blade steel one for $75.Is that a good buy or is it better to pay more for the 440V? Thanks Ray

I like a 50/50 edge myself, but if a 50/50 isn't available such as with the Military, then I would buy a plain edge. Hey, I forgot, I have three original style plain edges!

Unless you have a specific need for a serrated knife, I would go for the plain edged version. It is ever so much easier to sharpen and it doesn't snag on things when you cut, it just slices, nice and cleanly. And, by all means, get the 440V!

I've gotta agree with the plain edge crowd. I had a serrated Military for a while, it was neat bit I prefer the plain edge most of the time. That's one reason I like the Mini-Dyad so much, you get the best of both worlds. Really looking forward to the large Dyad, it's gonna be a great complement to my Military, which is my preferred main large carry folder (until my Simonich Talonite Carnivour arrives anyway

This is your third one? Were the other two plain or serrated? I would prefer to have one of each. If I could only have one it would be the serrated. I live on 90 acres though and there is a lot of plant related things that need to be cut. For ripping through a bunch of woody plants growing someplace I don't want them, serrated is the way to go.
