I have this posted in Spydie-land, but figured I may as well get this crew also.

I am going to be doing drywalling this summer, and plan to pick up a Military to have for heavy use. I carry a variety of knives daily, but will be going down to only a few for the job. The following is what I currently have that would be my work pile. Normally have 7-8 on me, have 6 spydies so far, 7 after millie.

Calypso jr lt, Plain
Dragonfly, SS, Plain
Muela 4" skinner(actually under thier Survival line)
Multi-tool(POS beater)

As you can see I carry a 4" daily, so the Military would get used after for EDC on right, moving the c52 to left, moving my current left(Delica, plain) to storage). I sharpen to 30, then take a couple strokes with the mediums on 40(with plain).

Should I get the Military in Plain or Serrated edge? the 50/50 has been suggested but full would be better.

i would get it in plain edge prob, although i recently got a police G10 serrated and really like it, i think ya could sharpen the plain edge easier, and, imho, millies look better w/plain edges

I have one in plainedge and prefer it that way. For me the Millie's plain edge seems to make ultimate use of the wide flat grind. But if you are going to be doing lots of very rough cutting I would probably choose the full serrations.
