Military Pocket Clip?

I was looking through the 2018 catalog, the Military models that had a satin blade all had a satin polished pocket clip but the Military's with a coated blade had a coated pocket clip. I hope this is the new standard at Spyderco. My question is, will this be the way the Military comes in 2018?

I got a Midnight Blue S110V Military about six months ago and the only issue was the black clip, I thought how much better it would look with a polished clip.
 
I got one of the new ones last week and it has a satin blade and polished pocket clip, just like the 2018 catalog. I was surprised because all of the pictures I'd seen beforehand (the catalog wasn't out when I ordered) showed satin blade/black clip.
 
I will be very happy if this is the case, about a month ago I was going to do a recommendation thread on this very topic but seems like others had the same thought and talked with Spyderco about it!
 
This black coating on military's pocket clip seems pretty tough, not like a delica pocket clip. I'm glad it's on my blurple.
 
I would like to know, I hope Mr. Glesser chimes in with an answer. I really like a Polished clip with a satin blade, got stuck on this when the Orange Sprint run came out, the same was done on the knifeworks 204p green Military (Have them both). To me it just looks better, but on the same hand yes the clip should be black and is on the black bladed Military's. I got to pick up a polished clip for my early version midnight blue Military.

Yab, I got 1 out of 2 right this morning, lost the first post and was scratching my head thought it just did not save so I did it again.
 
I noticed in the new catalog the polished clip on the S110V model. I was going to order one before the end of the month to get in on the black clip. I hope I can find one now. I'd prefer a black clip with the blue handle.

You can always call up a dealer and ask them to look for older stock, with the black clip. (I did the opposite with my Millie; I checked for new stock, because I wanted the latest CQI.)

I wish they would make a ti clip for it. Same shape and size, but stonewashed or satin Ti. Had STR make one for me years ago and it still rides on my daily carry CF Military. (saves a bit of weight too....)
 
I've kept black clips wherever I let the backspacers on, respectively replaced them with satin clips where I've removed backspacers (or on the new CQI models). Kinda weird, I know...
 
Black clip is my preferred every day of the week. Much more discrete.

Out of interest, when did they go away from polished clips? My old 440v milli has a polished clip stamped with all the patent info.
 
Well! LOL! there is an answer to this issue, a Spyderco could be shipped with both styles of Pocket Clips. Not a recommendation just putting it out there.
