Im currently in afghanistan and me and my buddy started talking knives, im the knife guy at my unit and so my buddy asked me what i thought the best knife for a soldier was, i of course said busse. so we got on the site (arent satelites amazing? im only a few miles from the pakistani border and yet im on bf :D )

and he really liked the boss street but that raises 2 problems. 1) does busse combat mail to APO's 2) how would we send a copy of his ID? i guess we could take a pic with a camera and then email it. do you guys think that would be acceptable rather than a fax?

any advice or info would be great. thanks in advance.

I have personally shipped Busses to APOs with no problems.

Call up the shop at (419) 923-6471 and talk with someone. AFAIK, Busse puts military first:thumbup:

oops, maybe an email to the shop might be more convenient:o

Amy should be along sometime to chime in.

If you have a scanner you can scan your ID card and email it to Busse Combat.

Busse takes great care of military.

Thanks for your service and be safe.

Jerry Busse and clan will take care of you. No question about it!!!!!

God bless you guys.

1st off thank you for your service.

It's always great to hear from guys in the military as I was in myself back in the early 80's so my hat's off to you and all who are over there with you. :D

Busse will take care of you for sure.

Be safe over there and make it home in one piece.

You guys be careful over there! And thank you for going.

We sure would like to see some pics of you and your Busses if you get time! :D

First, thank you for your service.

I don't know if this is the appropriate venue, but I'll throw out caution against photocopying your ID's. This recently came up in our Bn regarding vendors requesting ID photocopies for verification of service:

http://www.army.mil/-news/2009/10/07/28452-photocopying-military-cac-ids-a-violation-of-federal-law/

I've not seen where this has been "acted" upon by the .gov...but it raised a red flag for me now when establishments ask for ID verification. I only provide it as general information, because I was not aware of it prior to my CO informing us.

I wish you the best...and as everyone has stated, Busse will take care of you.

I have it from an inside source that Jerry can;
Post on the forum
Drink scotch
smoke a stogie
and grind a wicked blade

All when sound (except for the occational snort) a sleep.

Oh, I forgot he can answer the phone and push a broom when snoozing too.

If your in the army on the internet then you should have an ako email which will say your branch/rank ect. on the email and it will be soandso@us.army.mil I'm fairly certain that an email from there would be substantial. And as everyone else said there is probably noone in the knife industry that cares about soldiers more than the busse crew
