Lots of Busse's end up in the military, and apparently some have been, in effect, 'commissioned' (get it? commissioned? Military? I crack myself up) by specific units. Beyond that, you may be referring to the super-secret knife that no one describes or publishes photos of. And that's about all you or I will ever know about it, I've never seen one, and I wouldn't be talking about it if I had.

From what I understand they were extras from a Mil. contracted run of knives. Don't know much more.

They may have been just a organized group purchase as opposed to a contract. Awesome knife though!!!:thumbup:

Complete speculation on my part, but I figure that doing custom designed runs like that is pretty expensive. They can either charge custom shop prices for the original buyers, or make a bunch extra and sell them to the general public to keep costs down. I assume they do the latter in most cases.
