"Military" sheath?

I'm trying to find a sheath large enough to hold my Spyderco on my belt, but can't find one anywhere. Anyone got any ideas?

Why would I want to put it on a sheath and not just clip it you may be wondering? I'm in the military and do a lot of exercises where I may fall, roll, climb over things, and of course, fall again. I never want to lose my pocket knife, and can't afford to always check if it's there in my pocket after a crawl or whatever. I don't use the lanyard because then either I can't employ it quickly if I use a short string, or have the hassle of a long string hanging off me if I use a long lanyard. So that's my dilemma. I've decided to solve it by putting my knife in a seath (like a Leatherman) when undergoing a lot of movement inches from the ground.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi...

One if not the best person to talk to about this is Mike Sastre @ River City Sheaths

videosas@aol.com

He almost makes a better sheath than me..

Man Eric, your even nicer than everyone says! I haven't seen too many people here or anywhere else for that matter recommend someone that is in direct competition with them. That shows class.

Mike is an excellent choice for this if you like concealex. I have a couple of his sheaths and they are all well thought out and executed designs. I've heard nothing but good stuff about On/Scene Tactical too.

If you want leather you should contact Gary Graley. Here's a link to his website. As you can see he likes an open sheath (I think a couple of those on his page are mine

) but will make sheaths with a flap also. I really don't think you could go wrong with any of these folks.

I own a KS.F knife holster from EAGLE INDUSTRIES, and it suits my CRKT KFF really fine.
I think it should be a great choice for your kind of use, as it can be attached to webbing...
Take a look at their web site...
