Military with fluted Ti scales

What is going on with the Military Fluted Ti scales?

I have had one on backorder from AGRussell for over 8 months. Can they not produce this? Anybody have one?

I had one on pre-order at CS from 04/14/2011 (DUE SOON) and got an email on 05/09/2013 saying it was cancelled. I gave up on this one.

I was told the scales are warping under the heat.

The warping issue was when they were using heat on the scales causing the rainbow of colors like in the above pic. They switched to electrically anodizing and the new ones look bluish. Now that the warping issue has been resolved I don't understand the delay on them.

I have one of the original torched ones w/o the steel lock at insert. It's a beauty and fixes some of the gripes of the regular Ti Millie: grip and weight.

I was going to pick one of these up for my 4th Millie

but due to these apparent supply issues maybe I'll do a wait and see on the Millie 2, if it ever materializes.
